Picture picture on the wall

A trend that I see more and more often is a picture wall, or a memory wall if you prefer. Instead of hanging up only one item, try to find pieces that look good together and then group them on the wall. They will make a great statement and focal point.

The S-therapy

Desperate expat wife or not, we can all be hit by the gloom of everyday life, and a few tricks to get us out of it might come in handy. Nothing fancy or extraordinary, we’re talking about simple – possibly banal, but at times highly efficient – everyday forms of therapy. CLEW introduces the S-therapy: […]

Coping with winter

Katie Nail on how to get through the short days and grey skies, waiting for spring. Growing up in Florida, I always found “winter” to be an enjoyable time. It was the one time of year that I could wear a jacket and “real” shoes, there was the excitement of Christmas, the sun was always […]

One Word for 2014

So Christmas is over, and we’re fast heading towards the New Year, with its cremant and fireworks and resolutions… Yes, New Year’s Resolutions. I could almost hear the collective sigh go up as I wrote that. Each year we make determined (perhaps) commitments to eat better, exercise more, spend more time with the family, be […]

Fitter in 21 days

It’s about my Norwegian friends trying to adjust, written with humor and a little twist. No offence to my American readers! […]

Trouble in Paradise!

Who hasn’t been dreaming about moving abroad for a period of time, living the good life in a new and exciting culture. However, reality might hit you like a boomerang in the forehead before you even land! Going to exotic places for vacations is great, while moving to these places is completely different. Suddenly you […]

Spring – searching for shadows

Baby green, the darling buds, snowdrops and daffodils, the tweeting (of real birds mind you), that smell in the air unlike any other and that something in the air. The clichés are never more numerous nor more beautiful than in spring. Spring fever hits a large portion of the population, caused by a very healthy […]
